ADIL

"Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave."

ADIL Academic Year

ADIL is an acronym for Adult Islamic Learning. It is an Islamic learning programme specially tailored for adult Muslim learners in Singapore. Developed by the Office of the Mufti, this new Adult Islamic Learning (ADIL) programme is designed such that it remains relevant and suited for our Muslim adults’ contemporary spiritual and intellectual needs. The programme will be offered in both Malay and English to cater to varied demands and needs of the Muslim community.

Al-Islah conducts ADIL Academic year. For this year, the class will be on every Friday,  745pm – 945pm via zoom. The ADIL Academic year consists of a 2-year course. Participants can choose to join modular courses on its own or choose to join the whole 2 year academic year.

Course syllabus

The IISM curriculum is divided into four comprehensive series — Tafsir, Aqidah, Fiqh and Hadith — each designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of core Islamic sciences.

Tafsir Series

Introduction to Tafsir: Understanding the science of Tafsir, its history and methodologies.

Selected Surahs Analysis: In-depth study of key Surahs, exploring their themes, lessons and historical context.

Hadith Series

Introduction to Hadith: Importance of Hadith, classification and major collections.

Selected Hadith Studies: Detailed analysis of key Hadiths related to belief, worship and ethics.

Fiqh Series

Introduction to Fiqh: Overview of the sources and principles of Islamic law.

Acts of Worship (Ibadah): Detailed study of purification, prayer, fasting, zakat and hajj.

Aqidah Series

Foundations of Faith: Study of the Six Articles of Faith, including belief in Allah, angels, revealed books, prophets, the Day of Judgment and divine decree.
